“The Web Trend Map is a yearly publication by iA Inc. It maps the 333 most influential Web domains and the 111 most influential internet people onto the Tokyo Metro map. Domains are carefully selected by the iA research team through dialogue with map enthusiasts. Each domain is evaluated based on traffic, revenue, age and the company that owns it. The iA design team assigns these selected domains to individual stations on the Tokyo Metro map in ways that complement the characters of each.” See the dynamic Zoomorama - Tech Crunch Web Trends version of this Web Trend Map (Version 4, Final Beta) - you will love viewing it this way!

From Scott Nessman: “I wanted to try and not just show the tools, but how they relate to the different “Circles of Trust” of the people in the network. A few notes:
* the circles extending outwards from the centre represent different levels of trust/relationships. They are dotted lines on purpose - these are not fixed; relationships change, you get to know some people better etc.
* the two headed arrows are meant to express the flow of information and learning - it is not all one way. You *can* just read blogs. You *can* just use del.icio.us without using it socially and following others. But I have always maintained that if we view these as actions (‘blogging’ instead of just ‘blogs’) it helps us understand them as conversations, as the “read/write” particpatory web.”
September 11 Tribute
We wanted to remember those who were lost to us September 11 not so long ago with the above tribute video we found on YouTube.
God Bless all the families who lost family, friends, or loved ones on this tragic day that has gone down in history in a way we wish it had not. God Bless us all and keep us safe from such evils in the future.

“This is the future of book reading. It will be everywhere.” Michael Lewis, author of Moneyball and Liar’s Poker.
I am sure that my Librarian husband is going to like using this (click on the title above to link to the video introduction of the Amazon Kindle). As a multimedia/technology junkie, I think it is a really cool item from Amazon.com, which reminds me of the computer pads they use instead of paper on Star Trek. Ok, yes…the secret is out. We are Star Trek fans. LOL. Just kidding…it isn’t a secret. Guess you could tell by how much we love “future” technology. ;-) Anyway, just thought I would share this with you—and below is a brief product overview.

This is an image created by me for Robert who has been doing workshops on safety & security issues on the Internet, especially concerning social networking sites. This image is a “Guarded Fingerprint.”
Our fingerprints are a symbol of our identity because of their individualized characteristics used to identify each person, unique to each individual.
I used my own fingerprint to model the image but of course modified it tremendously to protect my own identity—so don’t bother trying to steal my identity! ;)
Our son is applying to become a police officer where he lives, so I thought about that and used him as a model for a police officer guarding my identity. Of course, I manipulated his image, too, to protect the innocent!—and to make him look mean! We just wanted to share the creation with you on our Tumblr-ama. Hope you like it.
